McGriddles by McDonald's is now available in the Philippines

While walking my way to home from my nightshift work, I passed by this McDonald's El Pueblo branch and I noticed a new poster offering a limited holiday edition: McGriddles.

I got tempted and intrigued on the description of it where it says that the bun has a generous amount of maple syrup, baked to perfection. Okay, you won Mcdo so I decided to try it before its gone since its only available for limited time.



So I decided to buy the McGriddles w/ Egg, Cheese and Sausage, opted for Pineapple juice instead of coffee.



When I unwrapped the sandwich, I wowed because its a hefty sandwich that will definitely satisfy the ones with huge appetite. This is actually perfect for the ones who always skip breakfast because they gonna be late to their work.

I must say that the sweetness coming from the buns is perfectly match to the saltiness given by the cheese and sausage. I forgot to take a picture of the maple syrup looks likena filling inside the bun because I'm so hungry that time. Hihihi.



Again, this is a limited time offer just like Twister Frieda and McRib so better drop by to your nearest Mcdonald's branch.

Creamy Pesto Carbonara from House Of Lasagna Review

From the recent Blogapalooza 2014 ( yeah, I know its too late, hahaha ), one of the participating booths is House of Lasagna. I visited their booths and they're giving free slice of their famous lasagna and it taste so good. And thank God, they gave us some information about their company plus a gift certificate worth 100php.

So before heading to my friend's birthday party for her daughter, I've decided to go to House of Lasagna in SM Megamall in lower ground building A to use the voucher. They've got lots of options in their menu but one thing that I usually order in a restaurant is carbonara. While browsing their menu, I spotted this interesting dish: Creamy Pesto Carbonara. I've tasted pasta in pesto oil so I've decided to try this since this one catch my attention.

So I asked the waitress for my order and presented my voucher so from 230php, my total bill is 130php. After waiting for several minutes which is understandable since its a restaurant, not a fastfood, they've already served the awaited dish.

Honestly, I got surprised on the first glance of it because I'm expecting the normal carbonara look with some pesto on it but the first thing that pops up to mind is: PESTO OVERLOAD. 

On the first bite of it, my first impression is right, the pesto is too overpowering and it seems like there's no salt or they only put less salt in it so it taste like almost tasteless. Thank God, they're not that selfish on giving me some parmesan cheese.

The waitress are so generous because she offered us a fresh garlic bread. Somehow, its a perfect match for this pasta dish. Actually, the garlic bread is perfectly satisfying alone.

I honestly sad that I wasn't about to finish it. I felt that it's a waste of money. Tsktsk. I heard from my friend that the only good thing from them is their lasagna and that's it.

Sampleroom.PH Experience

While browsing some skin care blogs before, I spotted a certain blog featuring a bb cream that she got from a site named Sampleroom. I'm surprised that the blogger ( sorry her name, hehehe ) got the featured product for free. At first, I was not interested that time because I was more focused on blogging about my latest OOTDs, hahaha.

But two months ago, I attended the recent Blogapalooza 2014 and Sampleroom is one of the participating booths. I just registered to site ( www.sampleroom.ph ) and viola, I got 100 points to use to get available samples from their site plus 2 bottles of Fortifying Shampoo and Conditioner from Zenutrients ( I'll feature it soon ).

This is the biggest savings that I got from Sampleroom. Its 450php in the market but I got this during summer and I just paid 100php.

Few days after I registered, I got an email alert about their new samples and those are Jergen's with their new packaging and improved formula. I got excited because its one of my favorite brands for lotion. In order for me to get the free samples, you need to have enough points and since I got 100 point upon registration and it only requires me to use 35 points for each bottle, I ordered two of them. I only paid for 100 pesos for the shipping and handling fee. Even if I still have to pay for the free samples, if you look at it in a budget-conscious perspective, you're getting the products in a discounted price. For example, if I buy those Jergen's Body Lotion in a store, it will cost me 140 pesos for 2 bottles. But by getting it from Sampleroom, you're just getting in for only 100 pesos so you'll get 40-peso savings.

Most of the product that they have are in full-size and there are some that really comes in a small size that is really designed for sample use only. In order for us to decide if we're going to buy the full-size or if its worth it to repurchase it, the member should try the product for at least 3 to 5 days. Once they tried it, they just have to put their honest but constructive feedback about it. Yes, Sampleroom will allow you to post your review even if its not a good experience for as long as you adhere to their guidelines. What's more exciting about using their service is for every review, you will earn 1 point. Once they approve your review, you will not just earn additional 1 point, you will also get back the points that you used for the samples. You'll also earn points by referring a friend who might be interested on trying out some samples. Just put their email address to sampleroom's website then once your friend received the invitation and registered, you'll automatically get 1 point.

As of the moment, I've been getting stuffs from them for more than a year and I'm satisfied that is why I share to my friends those samples by posting it in my social media accounts like Facebook and Instagram.

Pond's White Beauty Pearl Cleansing Gel and Pond's Flawless White Dewy Rose Gel Review

This is a shame to post a review to a product that I've tried almost a year ago ( March of this year to be exact, hihihi ). This is one of the samples I got luckily from Sampleroom.ph together with Pond's Flawless White Dewy Rose Gel as part of the bundled package since it was newly launched that time.

I got this perfectly timing for the upcoming summer season since this new facial wash and facial cream from Pond's is a gel-based so it might be refreshing after using it. So on my first day of wash, I just squeezed just a pea-sized amount to my palm and I noticed that it has a mid-thick consistency. I love that it gives me a refreshing feel after not too mentholated, just the right refreshness as if you just splashed a water with a little ice cubes.

Then I started using the Pond's Flawless White Dewy Rose Facial Gel by applying the right amount to my face and neck. I love how quickly it absorbs to my face unless to the usual facial cream that I used that it gives you a greasy feel like it just sitting in your face with out the absorption.

I used it for few weeks and I noticed that there's a slight peeling in some parts of my skin but not obviously noticeable but the lightening effect is not so obvious.

Verdict:

This gel-based facial wash/cream combo is an interesting product from the brand that I trusted for so many years. This new addition to our all time favorite skin care line is perfect for sensitive skin but still wants a rosy white skin. But if you're looking for a whitening skin product, this is not the product that you're looking. This product is made for those target customer who wants TO TAKE TIME to achieve a rosy white skin without harming their skin by drying/peeling it. I will definitely purchase this IF I can't find my favorite skin care product in a supermarket or skin care store. At least the good it about it is safe and suitable to my skin.

Chips Delight Chocoloate Chip Brittle Brownies

OMG, Its Weekend. Hands Up For The Weekend....

That upbeat track playing from my little brother's speaker wake me up in the morning. Wow, the long wait is over after a week of hard-work from your workplace, its weekend.

So my weekly day-off routine to drink hot coffee in the morning without being in a hurry to prepare going to work. Wait, I just found out that I got a bag of this sumptious treat from Chips Delight from the recent Blogapalooza 2015 held at One Esplanade on October 25. Wow, this bag of chocolate chips is so perfect to my hot, steamy coffee.



Chips Delight Chocoloate Chip Brittle Brownies is more crispier from the usual chocolate cookies. Actually, its like eating a toasted mamon ( Sponge Cake ) but the only difference is its thinner from the usual cookies and chocolate flavored with some little chocolate chips inside.



The first bite of it is so crunchy like whoa. Then when I took a sip of my favorite coffee, its so yummy because the chocolate chips melted in your mouth. I actually tried to dip it in my coffee just the usual way of eating pandesal and it taste so good, too.





One thing that I love about Chips Delight is the bag has a resealable zip-lock to maintain the freshness and crispiness to enjoy on the next day.





I thought coffee is enough to enjoy weekend restday morning but now its even more enjoyable because of the Chips Delight Chocolate Chip Brittle Brownies. So guys, you know what to do, go to the cookie section of your nearby supermarket and grab one or even more bags of my new favorite.

VICTORIA COURT #VPARTYSERIES MIDNIGHT MYSTERIES: CAN YOU SURVIVE?

Manila, October 29, 2015— Mark your calendars for November 7, 2015 and get ready for the ultimate Halloween event of the year! FOX International Channels and Victoria Court are partnering up with Breakout Philippines, the country’s premiere escape room game, to bring you an immersive horror experience like no other!

Ever since 2014, Breakout has been providing a unique experience to thousands of players by trapping them in different themed rooms for 45 minutes. They are given an interactive game where players have to team up to find clues and solve logic puzzles based on various storylines. Participants are encouraged to PLAN as a team, SOLVE puzzles collaboratively in order to ESCAPE before time expires.

This Halloween season, the game is about to change as it is no longer enough to BREAKOUT… you must now also SURVIVE! You and your friends will be trapped in a room and will have 45 minutes to try and survive the horror set before you.

There will be scare actors that will enter and exit the room as they please. Some will be nice and try to help you by giving you clues, while some… are not. Be prepared as they invade your personal space, tell you bone chilling stories, separate you from your friends and sometimes, even leave you alone in the dark. Be ready to be pushed out of your comfort zone.

This is still a BREAKOUT event so there is still puzzle solving involved. You will still choose among the 5 Super-thematic Rooms of Victoria Court Malate, which will determine the style of the overall pauzzle you will have to solve:
1. The Asgard Room
2. The Casino Royale Room
3. The Bat Cave Room
4. The Candy Land Room
5. The Marakkesh (Sex in the City) Room








If the scares get too extreme for you, there is a safe word… screaming “I want my mommy” will signal our actors to back off and bring you back to your friends. Though be warned, doing so will forfeit the clue you may receive by surviving the scare. Missing out on 1 clue won’t make it impossible to solve the puzzle, but it will make it very difficult. So wear your brown pants and as much as you can, brave up!

To add up to the scare, there will be a free fear flicks marathon happening at the Victoria Court grounds from 6PM until 12PM.

VParty Series Presents : Midnight Mysteries

Alot of my friends love to watch scary and/or suspense-themed movies. There are some that they're so into this type of movie genre to the point that they can sleep peacefully after watching it at midnight. Their level of being scared are at the top notch. So I'm pretty sure that Breakout Philippines can satisfy their needed scare intake.



Victoria Court collaborated with Breakout Philippines for the latest installment of VParty Series called Midnight Misteries which will happen on November 7 at Victoria Court Malate.

Its an interactive horror experience that you can enjoy with your friend ( maximum of 6 persons ) by being trap in a room for 45 minutes where you have to solve the puzzle by getting the clues in order to get out.





But its not as simple as that because you need to survive from the scare actors who has the clue to solve the puzzle. They promised that there's a part where they have to separate you from your friends so you'll end up being alone in the room. That's pretty scary, I admit.

Unleashed 5 : Get Wet

Wet Party + Foam Party + Dopest EDM tracks + Heavy Rain = The Wildest Rave Party / EDM festival that I attended so far.

It was held in Metrotent In C-5 on July 4. This is the 5th installment of the successful party series in Metro Manila produced by Weedoo Entertainment. Just to give you an idea, Unleashed's first installment held in Plato Bar on March 2014. It was free and turned out a big success that is why it was followed by Unleashed 2, 3 and 4. ( I'll be blogging about those soon ).





So here's my #OOTD for the event: Yellow and Banana. Very trending since that's the time when The Minions The Movie is about to release. Hahaha.







Unleashed 5 is now started to have a door charge which is 350php inclusive of 1 cup of Smirnoff Mule and 1 Redbull Energy Drink which is not bad.



I arrived in the event around 8pm and the kids was already crazy the fact the the night is still young.

To achieve the wet-party theme, they hired 2 fire truck. Actually in the middle of the event, we experienced a long heavy rain. That time, there's actually a 3 tropical storm to hit Manila.



Its also my first time to experience foam party. They hired 2 foam canyon.



Toni, my friend/ active ravemates, and I stayed almost 4am because we had so much fun.

Best In The Business - DJ Ace Ramos and MC Pao

Since Unleashed 5 is a success the fact that its first time to ask for an entrance fee, they already announced that Unleashed 6 is already set on November 2015 with 2 INTERNATIONAL GUEST DJ. Also they just recently announced that the biggest EDM festival of the local DJs are now going to the Queen City of the South, Cebu on September. I'm so excited for this since Unleashed Party Series is proven to give us the wildest party ever.
