How To Bleach and Dye Your Hair At Home

I've been dyeing my hair on my own since 2007 and I only used the affordable hair colorants that you can buy in a banketa ( flee markets ) for only 10-20pesos.Dyeing is been part of my  routine every other month to the point that I can't stand myself having a natural, boring black hair. While the New Year is approaching, I'm thinking to dye my hair in a lighter shade and the usual cheap colorants is not enough so I decided to bleach it.

My office-mate gave me a pack of bleaching powder and oxidizing cream in 12% solution as a birthday gift to me.

( I forgot to take a shot of the oxidizing cream that she gave to me.Sorry guys..hehe)

1.I started the process by mixing 2-3 tablespoon of bleaching powder and 5 tablespoon of oxidizing cream.Mix it until the texture become creamy/foamy.

Photo Courtesy of http://julieannescudero.wordpress.com/2013/09/10/new-look-ombre-hair/... Check her blog esp. her article about achieving a ombre hair by doing it at the convenience of your home.
2.Smear the mixture to your hair until the mixture fully cover the hair and evenly distributed.

TIP:

I suggest to apply the mixture 1/2 inch away from the scalf and leave it for 20-30 minutes. After that, apply the remaining mixture to the scarf and leave it for 10 more minutes. This technique will prevent you from getting scarf irritation.

I don't have that thing that you wrap to your neck so have no choice but to do it while half-naked.hahaha
3.After 30minutes, rinse it using a milder formulated shampoo like baby shampoo or shampoo and conditioner in one.If you're not satisfied with the result, you can do it again to make it more lighter until you achieve the platinum one.

Here's the result of bleaching my hair.

4.After bleaching it, you can dye your hair with your desired color.I bought this from one of the stalls in Shopwise Cubao and I got it for only 10pesos.I love this one because first its affordable and second, it doesn't give me scalp irritation compare to the expensive ones where in a few days after dyeing, the scalp flakes are showing up.I bought the one in Purplish Red.

I used Zhanghua Permanent Hair Colorant

5.Same thing, just mix the both tubes in a plastic container and apply it evenly ( follow the tip that I suggested earlier ) and leave it for 30 minutes to an hour for as long as there's no itchy feeling in the scalp.

I use L'oreal Paris Hair Mask everyday after dyeing my hair until the normal texture goes back.It deeply nourish your damaged hair cause by using hair chemicals.

TIP: I suggest that when you take a bath, wash your hair first and apply L'oreal Hair Mask and leave it until you finish taking a bath.

6.Rinse it but don't shampoo because first you're hair is a bit brittle and second it may not absorb the color of your hair in full because you wash it.Just simple apply a conditioner to wash out just the excess mixture and apply a hair treatment after.I suggest to use hair treatment every day until the hair goes back to its normal texture.

The I didnt achieved the exact color I want because I bleached it for so long.If you don't want a lighter shade, just bleach it for 15-20 minutes.

I don't achieve the Purplish Red I guess because I bleached it too much.I guess if you dont want lighter shade, bleach it for less than 30 minutes then color it.But I'm quite satisfied because the shade almost like the hair color of Hayley Williams.hahaha...

Celeteque Multi-Benefit BB Cream Personal Review

This is part of my search for the best BB cream in the market which is under the 500-peso range.I've been trusting Celeteque as a reliable skin care product.Totally love their water-based moisturizer and alcohol-free toner. When I spotted their commercial on TV about the re-launching of their brand into Celeteque Dermo Science, I got excited to try their new line of products. CELETEQUE is owned by Unilab. The company decided to merge their medical expertise and dermatological advances to develop clinically-tested products.

Apart from the re-launching of their skin care line, they also expand their skin care products to choose from that target the six signs of skin concerns: Brightening , Hydration , Sun Care , Acne Solution , Advanced Anti-Aging, Restoration , and Maternity. And I'm also surprised that they now have formulated their BB Cream which is CELETEQUE MULTI-BENEFIT BB CREAM.

Let's get to directly to the most important part which is giving you the pros and cons on this products which is based on my personal experience.Just to inform you that I got a combination typed skin.

Pros:

1.It really brightens my skin complexion and lighten my dark spots cause by pimples. That's because of BioWhite that has a high concentration of Alpha Hydroxy Acid ( AHA ).My office-mates noticed that my skin got lighter

2.It minimize the appearance of my pores because of BIOBENEFITY ingredient and Laricyl

3.It absorbs excess oil in my face so no need for blotting. Thanks to Silica.Actually this is a BB cream in the market that doesn't give you a dewy-effect just like the other korean-branded bb cream offers so this is actually perfect for those who prefers the matte-finish effect.

Cons:

1. Like other conundrums that we found in a bb cream, IT ONLY HAS ONE SHADE AND ITS TOO LIGHT.Not suitable for those who have darker skin. What I usually do is mix it to my favorite moisturizer or liquid foundation to tone down the shade.I don't feel that the effectivity was compromise because you're just using the moisturizer/foundation as an extender.Besides the small pea-sized of this bb cream is enough to cover the whole face. For those who wear makeup, this product is good as a make-up base.

Verdict???
CELETEQUE MULTI-BENEFIT BB CREAM is almost a perfect bb cream that we're looking for because its moisturizer , sunblock , spot remover , foundation , pore minimizer , fine lines and wrinkle eraser in one tube. This is a great contender for Pond's Age Miracle BB Cream if Celeteque could come up w/ a darker shade like beige.

CELETEQUE MULTI-BENEFIT BB CREAM is available in Watson's, SM Department Store Beauty Sections

Top 10 Most Hyped Look for 2013 from lookbook.nu/raynfromthesky

Time run so fast and its so fun to look back to some of the looks that I posted in lookbook.nu esp to the ones that got lots of hypes.I must admit, I've improved in terms of the pictures that I posted compare to the ones posted in 2012.I enlisted my TOP 10 MOST HYPED LOOKS FOR 2014 FROM LOOKBOOK.NU/RAYNFROMTHESKY and all of them got more than 100 hypes. Here's the list and hope you'll enjoy it.

10. If Our Love Is Insanity, Why Are You My Clarity

Number of Hypes : 103

Shot done the day after I went to CloseUp's Summer Solstice, its a EDM music festival featuring Afrojack.Too bad that the spiked leatherette strap was gone.huhuhu

9.Are You Gonna Stay Tonight

Number of Hypes : 104

Inspired by Enchong's outfit in his cameo appearance to Yeng Constantino's MTV Chinito. The only difference is I don't wear a dressy vest.I guess, without wearing that, this look is well put together...

8. It Takes Time To Get Result

Number of Hypes : 108

Both top and pants are from the thrift shops and have it altered. The top one was generally altered because it used to be a long sleeved, loose top.Im such an advocate of shopping and looking stylish w/out breaking your bank.

7. Scream If You Wanna Go Faster

Number of Hypes : 109

Top was snagged from the thrift shop as well as the pants but the ripped details are diy-ed.I just read in a certain interview that statement shirt will go out of style but I beg to disagree.Statement shirts are here to stay...

6. A Touch Of 90's Vibe

Number of Hypes: 110

Shot done after my graveyard shift in my officemate's condo in Ortigas. This look is included to my 3-part article on how to wear denim jacket in different ways.

5. We'll Run Where Lights Won;t Chase Us

Number of Hypes: 110

The reason why I put this look to the 5th spot instead of the look above is because this one got less views so that means that most of the viewers of this look hyped it whereas the look above just got more views but they didn't hyped it.And also this one got 2 hearts whereas the other one got nothing.Actually this is one of the looks that I didn't expect to received lots of hypes because this one was shot using my 5MP smartphone camera.

4. You're Giving Me Such Sweet Nothing

Number Of Hypes: 113

Another unexpected looks that got lots of hypes. The vest that I'm wearing is diy-ed.I just tried if I could achieve the galaxy-effect by using chlorine. There's one lookbooker sent me message asking how to do this.

3. The Only Voice That Matters Is Your Own

Number Of Hypes: 115

One of the comments on lookbook regarding this look is , ' The shoes give it a totally cool twist though! It's all about putting your spin on it!' . One this that I've learned about fashion is you really don't have to adhere to what's trending.Fashion is self-expression.You have to put some in your outfit that is unique that will standout to the crown of mediocre.

2. Infallible --- adj. Flawless

Number Of Hypes: 130

I personally love everything in this shot from the overall outfit and the lighting but I didn't expect that its going to be my top 2 looks for 2013.

Before we go to the Top 1 look for 2013, let me refresh you what is my Top 1 look for 2012.

Top 1 Look for 2012 from Lookbook.nu/RaynFromTheSky

Number of Hypes: 124

I dunno why this look was my top 1.Just to give you an idea that this shot was done the minute that I wake up.During that time, the camera that I used for this was bought a day after this.Too excited, right??? hahaha

1. Your Argument is Invalid

Number of Hypes : 132

I'm happy that this is my Most Hyped Look for 2013 because I personally like it.My new Nike sneakers was still brand new and clean.Love the idea of layering in this look.Actually I'm so proud of this look because first, it was taken using my 5-megapixel MyPhone smartphone. It's a great manifestation that we don't have to have a high-end dslr to post great look. And another thing, this is the only look where Bobby Raffin, one of the established user in lookbook, left a comment saying, ' awesome outfit!!!! you look great man! +1'.. So flattered, man.

There you have it.Hope you like this.I'll promise that I'll do my best to post cool and attention-snagging look here in lookbook.nu...
